化學(xué)品事故是一個(gè)或多個(gè)有害物質(zhì)的無意釋放, 其可能導(dǎo)致火災(zāi)、爆炸、環(huán)境污染，以及可能導(dǎo)致人員疾病，傷害、殘疾或死亡的有毒或有害物質(zhì)的泄漏或釋放。無論是危險(xiǎn)化學(xué)品的儲(chǔ)存、運(yùn)輸，或使用，均可能會(huì)引發(fā)化學(xué)品事故。2015年的天津爆炸事故是中國(guó)近年來發(fā)生的最嚴(yán)重的化學(xué)品事故，事故導(dǎo)致超過160人死亡，798人受傷，直接經(jīng)濟(jì)損失約68.6億元。

Participants may earn 16 contact hours of formal industrial hygiene training towards qualification to sit for the Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) examination.

Participants who are CIHs may be eligible for CIH Certification Maintenance (CM) points from the American Bureau of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH).
